Grand Hotel De La Poste, Saint-Jean-de-Luz

The building is a small 18th-century mansion in Neo-Basque style. The Marquis de Lafayette stayed at the Grand Hotel De La Poste on his way to America in 1824. The hotel began as a 13th-century post house on the road to Spain.

The hotel sits on a mostly pedestrian street in central Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Grande Beach is a 2-minute walk from the hotel. The town is 10 minutes from the mountains and 15 minutes from Spain.
